Welcome to the first LoveWords short fiction competition!

Mainstream and literary fiction 1,000-3,000 words in length will be considered. All writers worldwide are welcome to participate. Judges and members of their families are not eligible.

Each entry requires a $10 entry fee, payable through the PayPal link on this page at the time of your submission . There is no limit on the number of entries per writer, but stories should be submitted separately, each with an accompanying entry fee. Those stories received without an entry fee will be destroyed. We cannot acknowledge receipt of manuscripts or of entry fees.

Send entries, one at a time, in the body of an e-mail to lovewordszine@fastmail.fm with LoveWords Contest Entry in the subject line, or paste them into the form below.

Stories not among the winners will be considered for publication in the regular issues of LoveWords unless the writer stipulates otherwise.
